Once you start, you cannot stop!
Very recently I was introduced to the world of K-drama by my best friend. Initially, I was a little hesitant (and also very lazy to sit and read subtitles) to watch a completely new genre and I wasn’t very sure what to expect, to be honest. But then one day, about a month ago, I randomly decided to check it out and BOOM, IT BLEW MY MIND!
I had no idea that the story lines would be that interesting and the men, that dreamy! I mean, what is up with these K-Drama boys! They really set some high standards of love and romance and all that mushy stuff.
After binging a few series back-to-back, I’ve kind of taken up the onus to try and get others to watch K-drama as well. If nothing, they’d at least understand why the fans love it so much.
Here are 5 of my favorite #KDRAMAS and little bit about them:
1. CRASH LANDING ON YOU
A super successful entrepreneur lands up in an unexpected situation when she gets caught in a Tornado and meets a very charming army man and his squad that help her get back home. This may sound like a very basic story-line, but trust me, YOU ARE GOING TO CRY and YOU ARE GOING TO LAUGH and YOU ARE GOING TO GET HOOKED TO IT!
2. WHAT’S WRONG WITH SECRETARY KIM?
This is the story about a self-obsessed man (who is a complete cutie at heart) and his more than perfect secretary (who understands him like no one else). Yes, they fall in love and all that but the way the story pans out and the backstory that is introduced gives the characters a very real and relatable touch and also the humour! At some point, the show had me laughing so hard, I cried and then there were moments that got me teary-eyed but left a smile on my face.
3. HEALER
This story revolves around an illegal "night courier" with the codename "Healer" and top-notch fighting skills, a young reporter and a famous journalist. While trying to uncover the truth from an incident that took place in 1992 and a series of present day murders, they grow into honest reporters who try to blur the lines of conflict between truth and reality, even if that means fighting media honchos.
4. DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN
What happens when a South Korean doctor falls for an army man? It makes an epic love story! In this show, the characters find themselves in the middle of great events and deadly dangers, both in their Motherland and in the fictitious, war-torn country of Urk. The action quotient of this show is complimented perfectly with romance and a humorous undertone.
5. SUSPICIOUS PARTNER
A prosecutor and his trainee work together on a mysterious case involving a psychopathic murderer. In the midst of all of this, they also realise how deeply their past is connected to each other. While the leads steal your heart, even the supporting cast in this series is on point and will definitely leave a smile on your face.

So these were my Top 5.
